Legal issues arose on Lin’s property with its caretaker leads to abandoning of plan
Legal issue resolved and Lin’s property as the site was back in plan-A new lease was signed on Dec. 30th, 1970 for 15 years
Club officially opened with ribbon cutting ceremony attended by then U.S. Ambassador McConaughy and Taipei Mayor Henry Kao
Club relocated to the current site on No.47, Bei-an Road(formerly owned by Club 63 and China Seas Club)

The American Club Taipei takes pride in its rich heritage, serving Taiwan's international community since 1968. The current Club site was originally an American Military Club catering to U.S. forces over fifty years ago, today it thrives as a vibrant hub of expatriate life including membership of over 40 nationalities.


The Club has grown to become an integral part of the expatriate community in Taiwan, fostering cultural connections and providing a welcoming environment, which creates memories that last a lifetime.
Entering the new millennium, the Club underwent modernization efforts, enhancing its facilities and services to meet the changing needs of its global Members.
