If you are fans of the MasterChef TV show and always feel you could do better, this is the chance to present your excellent cooking skills. If you would like to come and see this exciting event and cheer for your friends, you are most welcome to come as a spectator and even as a judge!!

Each Group Cooks Two Dishes
1. Specified Dishes – ACC will assign the dishes, one is eastern and another is western style. Contestants will choose which style to complete.
2. Your Own Flavors – Have to use the ingredients from the “Black Box” and use your creativity or bring your signature dish.
– For both dishes all ingredients and seasoning must be used from the designated Market Place.

The First Runner-Up: Treasure Box with finest ingredients (Valued NT$6,000)
The Second Runner-Up: Hot Pot Vouchers NT$4,000

“Have to Know” For the Groups of Contestants

  1. All ingredients and seasoning must be used from the designated Market Place. Contestants are requested not to bring their ingredients or seasonings for use in this competition. (Use of personal ingredients/seasonings may result in loss of eligibility or a score deduction.
  2. For the Specified Dishes, these will be assigned by ACC, one is eastern and another is western style, both required dishes will be announced on the event day.
  3. ACC will open the “Black Box” on the event day and reveal the ingredients.
  4. Each group to consist of 4 ACC Members; no age limit.
  5. ACC will provide ingredients, seasonings and equipment:

  • ACC will offer basic cooking equipment but contestant teams can bring their own kitchen knives.
  • Please note that only the ACC white plant containers are to be used for presentation to the judges.
  • If you need to use the ”oven” please advise ACC by October 14. Note that when using the oven in the kitchen area, one ACC kitchen staff member must accompany the contestants.
  1. No time limits to get into the designated Market Place to prepare everything you need but if too many of the selected ingredients are not used – scores may be deducted.

    Each group cooks two dishes, please offer a 2 person portion per dish. One portion for main judges another to display.

  1. Judges
    (a) ACC will invite 3-5 main judges who will judge all dishes by appearance 15%, flavors 35%, skill 15%, hygiene 15%, creativity 10% and team spirit 10%.(b) We will not open the food tasting for “spectator judges” due to food may not be enough to share with over 60 people and also concern for hygiene.(c) Judges to be over 12 year and each spectator judge will have two votes for your favorite two dishes; can’t give two votes to the same dish.(d) Total score will be: main judges 70% and spectator judges 30%.
  1. If any contestants or spectators fail to observe rules or safety issues this may result in individuals being required to exit the event venue. ACC management and main judges thank you for your understanding and cooperation.
  1. ACC management team and main judges reserve the right to change, delete or apply other conditions and to select the respective winners.

 

Sign up deadline is 5 days before the event day.
Please note that this is the special event and we need to prepare and order lots of ingredients, therefore, the cancel deadline no later than 4:00 pm, October 7 to avoid charges.
