Following the success of our past Parent & Child fun events; this year the event has been upgraded as part of our Club’s Tennis Championship series.
The Parent & Child Doubles Championship provides a precious opportunity for you and your child to spend some quality time competing together in a sport you both love.

Categories: “A” and “B” Level Events.
Format: 8 Game Pro-Set, with No-Ad Scoring – 2 Matches Guaranteed.
Trophies to first and second place finishers in each event.
Open to adult members with children aged 18 or under.

Rules and Match format
Deadline for entry: 6:00 pm on Tuesday, May 8, 2018. The draw will be held on Wednesday, May 9 in the Chicago Room at 1:00 pm, with at least 2 Tennis Committee members present.
Match Time Period
Friday, May 11 – 4:30 pm to 9:00 pm
Saturday, May 12 – 9:00 am to 9:00 pm
Sunday, May 13 – 9:00 am to 6:00 pm
Please make sure that you are available to play on all three days of the tournament before you enter as matches will not be rescheduled for personal conflict. The tournament may end earlier or later based on weather and/or the number of participants.
Match format
All matches up to the final: 8 games Pro-Set with 7-point tie-breaker at 7-7. Final: 10 games Pro-Set with 7 point tie-breaker at 9-9. (No-Ad Scoring for ALL matches – at Deuce, returning side will decide who receives).
1st round losers will be placed directly into a consolation event. All matches, including the Final, will play an 8 game Pro-Set with 7-point tie-breaker at 7-7. (No-Ad Scoring for ALL matches – at Deuce, returning side will decide who receives).
Referee: The tournament director will be present throughout the tournament and will act upon unsportsmanlike behavior. An ACC Tennis Professional will referee the final match.
Seeding: Seeding will be based on the combined total points earned by the team member from the previous two ACC tournaments.
Late/default: A 15-minute window for arrival to all matches will be strictly enforced. Players may notify the Pro-Shop if they are to arrive late due to unforeseen circumstances and allowances may be made.
Late withdrawal/no-show: Matches canceled less than 24hrs before scheduled playing time and/or no shows will be an automatic default. If a 1st round match, players will not be entered into consolation event. The fee for any defaulted match is NT$500.
Spectators: Under no circumstances are spectators allowed on the court during play. Under no circumstances (except emergency) should be a player coached by, or in communication with a spectator during a match.
Bad behavior: There will be zero tolerance for bad behavior by all players.
Any questions regarding sign-up should go to the Tennis Tournament Director.
Director will have final say in any matters deemed extraordinary that applicable rules do not address.
