ACC’s well-established support for artists is based on our principle that art and culture enhance the quality of community life. To quote Picasso,“ The purpose of art is washing the dust of daily life off our souls.”
In this regard, we are extremely honored to introduce Mr. Yang, Tze-Yun and Wang Yi-Fan, two very well known artists in Taiwan! Yang will present his Avant-Garde Calligraphy exhibition and his cousin, Wang Yi Fang, will present “soft women stories” with her paintings. Their art presentation will be uniquely supported by music and opera by soprano Tsui-Lien Hong and the pianist Yi Ting Chuang!
We will provide a glass of complimentary wine to every visitor to the opening cocktail party.

Yang, Tze-Yuan
Yang has been one of the top masters of traditional calligraphy in Asia, However, his avant-garde expression had been seriously criticized for years by the fellow traditionalists. On Oct. 2000A.D. Gavin Phipps of Taipei Times witnessed it and interviewed him.
The evolution of writing characters ( as still most calligraphers nowadays are doing) to non-character expression, indeed brought Chinese calligraphy to a completely new domain. The created symbols are no longer oriental, the symbols become a universally human perceived form. This new form created by Yang, Tze-Yun released more power from his inner energy and from the bottom of his soul. Yang really shows the real life of calligraphy in contemporary Chinese art.
Yang, is also an opera singer, with two stage appearances –Puccini’s “Madame Butterfly” and “ The Great Wall”.
As a matter of fact, he’s been occupied mostly with the arts of calligraphy (traditional and avant-garde), paintings, sculpture, and pottery. Seldom have we heard of an artist like him who is so versatile in various fields.

Stayed in Belgium, studied aesthetics in the graduate school of University of Leuven and Doctorate History of Art in Gent University
1996 Belgium Government and Taiwan Authority sponsored solo exhibition in Louvain (French) University and the international seminar on his works.
1996/97/98
Invited to take part in the International Art Fair in Gent, Belgium 1998.
Returned to Taiwan to develop a new stage of painting.
Exhibited at Min-Ser Art Centre, presenting huge Modern Landscape. 1999

Wang Yi-Fan
Professional painter / Children’s ink painting teacher
1985 Graduated from Chinese Culture University. She had been invited by the Japanese Interchange Association for short-term culture visits. Her first exhibition was at the Culture Affairs Bureau, Taichung, also exhibited at Tainan’s Municipal Tainan Culture Center.
Soprano – Tsui-Lien Hong
Born in Kaohsiung City. She Graduated from the Music Department of Tunghai University and graduated from the Institute of American Old Gold FT Conservatory of Music. Majored in vocal music. She also studied vocal singing and opera in Italy. In 1995, she was an opera actor in the Council for Cultural Affairs. She currently teaches at the Music Department of National Pingtung University, Kaohsiung High School Music Class, and the Association of Vocal Artists of the Republic of China. Her tone is noble and mellow, with warm and melodious lyrical soprano tracks.
