In order to comply with the EPA’s newly announced expanded regulation restricting free plastic bags in consumer outlets (see footnote) and also to play the role of the “ Global Citizen “; ACC wishes to reduce the plastic bags usage in the Club by strongly encouraging our Members to bring their own bags when shopping in ACC’s Market.

Please be informed that effective January 1, 2018, ACC Market will commence charging NT$1 for a small white plastic bag, NT$2 for a large white plastic bag, and NT$8 for an ACC logo paper bag. Or we do sell ACC reusable bags in ACC Market which are NT$120 / pc.

Taiwan EPA Extends Ban on Plastic Bag

“The plastic reduction policy has been greatly supported by the people, but it is time to take a step further and start reducing plastics from the source. By extending the ban on plastic bags, the EPA hopes people can bring their own shopping bags at all times and reduce the use of plastic bags”.  September 15, 2017
