Updated House Rules in Effect

Back in March, 2024, the Membership & Rules Committee, in collaboration with the Management, has dedicated significant time to conduct a comprehensive review and update of the Club’s House Rules, which is long overdue. The NEW House Rules are now in effect after posting for the past one month.

Here are the changes highlights by clause numbers:

3.C. Applications for Overseas House Guest Membership require only one sponsor signature from either a Regular, Associate and Term Member. This sponsorship also establishes the sponsoring Member’s financial liability and responsibility for any outstanding charges incurred by his/her sponsored Overseas House Guest Member.

 

4.F. As determined by the BOG, Guest fees are currently required for Guest use of the following Club facilities: (a) the Swimming Pool, (b) the Fitness Center, (c) the Tennis and Squash Courts, (d) the Multi-Purpose Sports Complex (MPSC), (e) the Indoor Playroom and Nursery, and (f) the Sauna, Steam Room and Jacuzzi.

 

5.D.1 Basketball/tank tops are prohibited, unless an undershirt is worn, or the top is covered by a jacket.

 

5.D.3 Members should wear swimsuits at all times and should not be naked while in the shared unisex indoor jacuzzi.

 

6.B. Children under 24 months must be accompanied by the Parent(s), or Responsible Adult at all times unless that child is registered and placed in the Children’s Nursery or attending a Club organized and supervised activity.

 

6.C. Children aged seven (7) to eleven (11) must remain under the direct supervision of either the parent(s) or a Responsible Adult in all areas of the Club, except in specifically designated areas such as the Game Room, Children’s reading room, Outdoor Playground and the swimming pool, or when attending a Club organized and supervised activity.

 

6.F. The Club reserves the right to request an identity card to verify the age of any Member and/or their Guests.

 

6.H. Please see the table below for rules regarding the use of facilities and venues pertaining to children:

Nursery Under 2 1.     Parent(s) and Responsible Adult must sign in and out for the children.

2.     Parent(s) or a Responsible Adult should always inform the Nursery of their current location on the Club by contacting at extension 558 if they don’t accompany the children onsite.

3.     The room capacity is 15 children plus parent(s) and Responsible Adult. When overcrowded, children who have been in the Nursery more than 2 consecutive hours will be asked to leave.

4.     Parent(s) and Responsible Adult upon the request of Nursery staff should remove children from Nursery promptly if they are being either misbehavior or apparent illness.

5.     Children must be fever or ill free for 24 hours prior to entering the nursery.

6.     Wash hand or use hand sanitizer spray before entering the Nursery.

7.     No entry for children who are either not yet toilet trained or with a communicable disease.

8.     Parent(s) and Responsible Adult should change diapers themselves. Nursery staff are not allowed to change diapers.

9.     No food or beverages, except for infant formula in bottle only.

General Common Rules:

1.     Children, parent(s) and Responsible Adult must obey all posted rules for these area and instruction of relevant ACC staff.

2.     Parent(s) and Responsible Adult are fully reliable for children’s conduct.

3.     Parent(s) and Responsible Adult should accompany children onsite to use the facilities of the area.

8.I.2. ACC has the following restaurants available for Members to dine at. Sigis, Gyoson, Rendezvous, and Sunday Brunch Buffet can be booked in advance, Terrace is on a first come, first served basis. For more information on restaurant hours, please check ACC’s official website, notice board, or contact the ACC’s front desk or the service staff at each restaurant.

9.C. If DCs has been registered as a personal employee by a Member on weekdays, they may not be registered as a guest by a Member on weekends for the purpose of performing poolside duties.

 

12.C. To minimize misunderstandings over billing, children under twelve (12) years of age are not allowed to sign charge slips in any part of the Club. Parents of children between ten (10) to twelve (12) years of age and over should inform Club Management in writing whether or not they wish to authorize signing privileges for their teenage children in advance, which requires a specific “Letter of Approval” signed by their parents that will be kept on file at the Membership Office.

 

12.J. Members who will be away from Taiwan for thirty (30) or more consecutive days may apply for short-term absence provided that written notification is delivered to the Finance Department prior to their departure. Any Member whoever leaves less than three (3) months shall be exempt from the required minimum purchase charge for that period but must still pay Club dues. Short-term absence is taken on a monthly basis for 30 days at a time. The short-term absence cycle should be consistent with the billing cycle specified in Point D. Members may apply for leave three (3) times each calendar year, and the number of applying short-term absence will be recalculated each calendar year.

 

28.A. Therefore, the use of mobile telephones and/or equivalent devices (e.g., mobile phone, tablet, laptop, computer-integrated VOIP/IP applications like Skype, Line, WhatsApp, Facebook Messenger/Instagram Voice Call, etc.) for phone calls or voice messaging made on Club premises is strictly prohibited so as not to disturb others.

 

The use of the speakerphone function on a mobile device is not permitted anywhere within the Club’s premises.

The designated areas below identified with signage are mobile-friendly areas:

  1. The phone area outside the bathrooms next to the main lobby,
  2. outside the Main Club entrance,
  3. outside the Children’s Nursery,
  4. around the swimming pool,
  5. at the outdoor playground, and
  6. in Rendezvous (only allowed with a headphone Monday to Friday before 6:00 p.m.) and the outside smoking area.

 

28.C. No other electronic devices, such as mobile phone, tablet, laptop, etc. may be used on the Club’s premises unless used with headphones and in such a manner as not to disturb other Members and their Guests.

 

29.A. All vehicles using the ACC parking lot must be registered with the Club, ACC’s parking lot has a license plate recognition system at the entrance. (Omit later paragraphs)

 

29.D. All Members and their personal drivers must always obey instructions from the ACC parking lot security staff. (Omit later paragraphs)
