Wine Highlights
Each wine for the evening has been thoughtfully selected to showcase the brilliance of Edouard Delaunay’s portfolio:
- Grand Calcaire 1er Cru Fourchaume 2021 (Chablis White)
A classic Chablis with vibrant minerality and crisp acidity. Expect notes of green apple, citrus zest, and wet stone, creating a beautifully balanced wine that pairs wonderfully with seafood and light appetizers.
2. Meursault Le Village 2021 (White)
From one of Burgundy’s most iconic villages, this wine is rich and complex, offering aromas of ripe pear, toasted almonds, and a hint of vanilla. Its creamy texture and balanced acidity make it a standout expression of Meursault.
3. Marsannay En Combereau 2021 (Red)
A fresh and approachable Pinot Noir, bursting with red cherry, raspberry, and subtle spice. This wine reflects the charm and unique terroir of Marsannay.
4. Santenay 1er Cru Beauregard Rouge 2021 (Red)
A refined Pinot Noir from Burgundy, showcasing bright red fruit, floral notes, and subtle spice. With silky tannins and a mineral-driven finish, it pairs well with roasted meats, duck, or mild cheeses and can age gracefully for 6–10 years.
5. Beaune 1er Cru Les Greves Rouge 2021 (Red)
A refined Pinot Noir from Burgundy with vibrant red fruit, floral, and earthy notes. Balanced and elegant, it pairs well with poultry, mushrooms, or soft cheeses. It has an aging potential of 8–12 years, promising further complexity over time. Ranked #62 in Wine Enthusiast’s Top 100 Wines of 2024.
6. Corton Grand Cru 2019 (Red)
An exceptional Pinot Noir from Burgundy, offering rich aromas of dark fruits, spice, and earth. On the palate, it’s structured and elegant with silky tannins and a long, complex finish. Perfect with game meats, lamb, or aged cheeses, it has the potential to age gracefully for 15–20 years.
