Introducing Freeman Lin – Our new Food and Beverage Director (Expired)

We are pleased to announce the appointment of Freeman Lin as the Club’s new Food and Beverage Director, effective Tuesday, April 6th, 2021.

Freeman began his career at the Grand Hyatt Taipei, where he worked in a series of progressively senior positions gaining experience in outlet management, banqueting and in food and beverage administration.  After eleven years, he moved on to become Assistant Director of Food and Beverage for the Hyatt Regency in Guam.  Three years later, he moved to at the Grand Hyatt Sanya Haitang Bay Resort and Spa where he served as Director of Food and Beverage.

Freeman will be familiar to many Members as he served as Food and Beverage Director at the ACC from October 2016 through March 2018.  After an enjoyable tenure here, he moved to Hilton where, as Director of Operations, he was part of the pre-opening team for the Hilton Taipei Sinban after which he became the Director of Operations for the Hilton Shanghai Hongqiao.

Freeman impressed with his varied experience, his strong communications skills, and his passion for service.  His experience in managing multiple outlets also set him apart from other candidates.  And, having worked at the ACC before, he will be able to “hit the ground running” with a full understanding of Club culture, our outlets and operations and the staff he will be managing.  Initially, Freeman will focus on improving service in our outlets, on improving banquet performance and on upgrading events with Events Coordinator Amy Huang.  During this time, Executive Chef Peter Hsu will report to the General Manager so that Freeman can focus on these high priority areas.

Freeman Lin was the unanimous choice of the search committee comprised of Injay Tai, Human Resources Committee Chair, Max Liu, Food and Beverage Committee Chair and David Brightling, General Manager.  The committee would also like to recognize and thank Allison Wang for his leadership, dedication and hard work during the interim period between Food and Beverage Directors.  Allison is a true professional who is passionate about hospitality and about the Club.  He will be a key part of our Food and Beverage operations – and their future – in the months and years ahead.
