Full Activation of Controlled Access -Wed, Jan 24

Controlled Access and online Guest & Personal Employee Registration have been in operation since December 5, with two of the three gates activated. This has been a preliminary phase intended to give all Members time to ensure they have access cards prepared, and understand how the system works.

Entry and Exit for Members

On the morning of Wednesday, January 24 all Controlled Access Gates will be activated and entry and exit through that area will be by access card only. Members are expected to individually present their card at the reader upon entry. They are not permitted to enter the gate immediately behind another Member without presenting their own card at the reader as this will register a flagged exception in the system. Failing to present a card on entry may also cause a problem for the Member when leaving, as the system will not recognize the card as having entered and will not activate the doors to enable exit.

Any Member who has forgotten to bring his/her access card will need to pick up a Day Pass Card at the Front Desk. A Day Pass Card provides a one time entry and exit only, and in the future there will be a charge made each time one of these cards is issued. Day Pass cards work differently from the Member’s own access card, as when exiting they must be fed into the special card-return slots provided on two of the three access gates – these cards will not work on the standard exit card readers. When the card is fed into the slot the gate doors will open and the card will be returned to the Club for re-use. Members will be charged for missing Day Pass Cards that were issued but not returned.

Entry and Exit for Children Aged Below 12

Children aged below 12 are not issued Member Cards and can pass through the gates along with a parent. Children aged 12 and above are eligible to have their own access cards issued and should enter only after presenting their Member Card at the reader.

Entry and Exit for Guests & Personal Employees

After Guests/Employees have been entered on the Registration System (which can be done up to 2 weeks in advance) their cards can be picked up from the Front Desk Staff on the day of the visit. Each Guest/Employee will be issued with a card enabling a one time daily entry and exit only through the Controlled Access gates. We recommend registering in advance on the ACC website when possible as this will minimize the time involved in picking up Guest/Employee Cards at time of arrival with your Guest/Employees in attendance. When exiting, Guest and Personal Employee cards must be fed into the special card-return slots provided on two of the access gates, these cards will not work on the standard exit card readers. When the card is fed into the slot the gate doors will open. Members are responsible for ensuring their Guests/Employees feed their cards into the card-return slots. Members will be charged for missing Guest/Employee Cards that were issued but not returned.

Card Required for Both Entry and Exit

Each adult Member and Guest will be expected to have his/her own card, and each person will be required to present their card at the gate’s card reader as they enter and exit – even if the gate doors might already be open. This will ensure the Controlled Access System works effectively, protecting your exclusive benefits as an ACC Member.

If you have any questions at any time the ACC Staff in the Lobby will be very pleased to provide assistance.
