Important! Weekend Restriction on Domestic Helpers

Location:ACC

Effective July 1, 2017, domestic helpers will be restricted from entry into the Club on weekends and public holidays.

The Board of Governors (BOG) decided to reinstate the rule restricting domestic helpers from entry into the Club on Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays due to compaction.  Club management has received an increasing number of complaints over the number of domestic helpers in the Club in recent years since the rule was relaxed 10 years ago.   Due to increased club usage overall, combined with the proportional increase in domestic helpers and limited space throughout the club, the BOG believes a reinstatement of this rule will free up more space for member use.

In 2005/06 (around the time the rule was removed), the Club had approximately 1300 families with an average monthly spend in F&B outlets per family of NT$5,500.  The figures for 2016 have increased considerably – with 1,500 families spending NT$8,000 per month.  Assuming 1.5% annual inflation, this is a 41% increase in club usage over that time.

The BOG believes reinstating the restriction on domestic helpers will maximize the Member experience and the ability of the club community at large to enjoy the Club at these peak times.

The BOG reiterates its commitment to providing an enjoyable family experience so the ACC is truly a “home-away-from-home.”   Thank you for your kind understanding of the BOG steps to maximize Member use of the Club during peak times.  As always, the BOG and Club management welcome your comments and suggestions to achieve our goal of being the “Best Club in Asia”.
