Introducing ACC’s New Parking Management System

ACC is in the process of implementing a new Parking Management System based on ‘license plate recognition.’ Once we have the implementation date confirmed we will be giving due notice to Members.

The objective is to alleviate the congestion in the car parking area by restricting parking privileges ONLY to Members’ registered vehicles, and this system will be installed at the entrance ‘to/from’ the ACC Parking Lot.

When entering the ACC Parking Lot, the system will scan the vehicle license plate number. The red illuminated monitor will display either:

WELCOME 

This means the vehicle is registered with the ACC and you may proceed to park.

NOT REG

This means the vehicle is NOT REGISTERED ( Please note that the sign will show “NOT REG”) with the ACC and you CANNOT PARK in the ACC Parking Lot, irrespective of the number of available parking spaces. A warning buzzer will also sound which will alert the ACC SECURITY TEAM.

NO ENTRY

This means that the vehicle exceeds the (2) car-parking limit of registered vehicles per Member and therefore you CANNOT PARK in the ACC Parking Lot, irrespective of the number of available parking spaces.

ERROR

This means the system was unable to read the vehicle license plate number. In this event, please contact the ACC SECURITY TEAM OR the FRONT DESK for a resolution.

Please note that valid ACC Parking Stickers will STILL BE REQUIRED to be displayed when Members park in the RTI Parking Lots. (ACC will continue to issue dated Parking Stickers every two years.)

 

REGISTRATION REQUIREMENTS / PROCEDURES

FOR ACC’s New Parking Management System 

If your cars haven’t been registered or you haven’t got your Parking Stickers, please send your Car(s) License Plate information to the ACC Security Team at security@americanclub.org.tw before Friday, January 14. The information must include:

  • Membership Name / Membership Number / Car Plate Number(s).
  • Each Membership can register up to a maximum of (5) cars.
  • Each Membership can ONLY PARK (2) CARS at the same time in the ACC Parking Lot.

 

PARKING INFRINGEMENTS

MEMBERS PERSONAL CARS

ACC BOARD has mandated that fines for exceeding the 2-CAR PARKING LIMIT will be as follows:

  • NT$ 3,000 for the 3rd car.
  • NT$ 6,000 for the 4th car.
  • NT$ 9,000 for the 5th car.

Further: ACC management and staff have been directed by the ACC Board to make NO EXCEPTIONS to these Clubs Parking Rules.

 


 

Potential Questions about

Parking Management System

Q1: I have already registered 5 cars, but can I also bring another NOT REGISTERED car to the Club?

YES. The Security Team will confirm that it is your car, and they will then register your car. The Security Team will then de-register the car that has been replaced.

Please note that the ACC security will require 24 hours notice to register and/or update a Member’s car registration into the system.

 

Q2: So should I still keep my 2021-2022 parking sticker(s)?

YES. Displaying Parking Sticker 2021-2022 will still be required until expiration. ACC will continue to issue dated Parking Stickers every two years.

 

Q3: What’s the procedure to park cars in the RTI Parking Lot?

Members: The procedure and regulation remain the same. Each Member can only park a maximum of two (2) cars at the same time – each displaying valid ACC parking stickers. If a Member requires a Temporary Pass for parking in the RTI Parking Lot at the same time – this can be obtained from the ACC Parking Security Attendant.

Member’s Guests: Guests must obtain a Temporary Pass from ACC’s security guard to gain access to the RTI parking lot.

The RTI Parking Lot is ONLY available for Member and Guest Parking on –

  • Weekdays – 6 p.m. to 11 p.m.
  • Weekends and Holidays – 7 a.m. to 11 p.m.

NOTE: All cars are required to exit the RTI Parking Lot prior to the 11:00 p.m., closing time. Neither ACC nor RTI bears any responsibility/liability for cars parked within the Club and RTI parking lots.    

 

Q4. Can the ACC parking stickers be used on other cars e.g. a car belonging to a relative/friend/colleague?

NO. The Parking stickers are valid ONLY for the Member’s registered car. They are NOT interchangeable.

 

Q5. Can I register my guest as a part of the ‘5-car system’?

NO. The ACC Parking Lot is for the exclusive use of Club Members.

 

Q6. How long does it take the staff to register Member’s cars?

ACC security will require 24 hours notice to register and/or update a Member’s car registration into the system.
