Introducing new format GUI receipts

Location:ACC

As you may know, the government has introduced a new e-Tax system that will soon change the GUI receipts that Members have traditionally received with their statements.

Current GUI

New GUI effective November 1

The Current GUI (發票) is being replaced by the following “e-Tax-compliant” compliant format as shown here.  GUIs for Business to Business (B2B) transactions and Business to Consumer (B2C) transactions are very similar, the main difference being that B2B GUIs include the Membership’s Company Registration Number (統一編號).

As mentioned above, the new GUI receipt will replace the old ones effective November 1, 2020.  Members whose billing cycle is October 16 – November 15 will receive the current GUI for the period October 16 – 31 inclusive and the new GUI for the period November 1 – November 15 inclusive.  Members whose billing cycle is by calendar month will receive their first new style GUIs along with their November statement.

Future phases of e-Tax implementation

The new format GUI is the first phase of the Club’s compliance with the government’s e-Tax legislation.  The second phase, which will be introduced sometime after the installation of a new club software system in 2022, will provide for other options including:

  • e-Statements to replace paper statements
  • Notification of “e-GUI” creation being sent to your e-mail or mobile phone
  • Automatic notification of lottery winnings

A new club software system – included in the 2021 Capital Budget for approval at the Annual General Meeting – is tentatively scheduled to go live on January 1, 2022 and Phase 2 of the Club’s e-Tax system will be introduced once the new software has been up and running for a while.
