Green Ball Event (aged 10 & under): Open to players that are currently training with Green Balls or lower

Mini Tennis Event (aged 8 & under): Open to players that are currently training with Orange or Red Balls

 

Rules and Match format

Deadline for entry: 6:00 pm on Tuesday, September 3, 2019. Draw will be held on Wednesday, September 4, 2019, and posted up outside the Pro Shop thereafter.

Green Ball Event: Friday, September 6 from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm and Saturday, September 7 from 9:00 am to 11:00 am

Mini Tennis Event: Saturday, September 8 – 11:30 am to 2:30 pm

 

Please make sure that you are available to play on all the days of the competition before you enter as matches will not be rescheduled for personal conflict.

* Depending on the number of participants and weather conditions, days of play may be shortened or extended.

 

Match format

Green Ball Event: All matches will play a 5 game Set with no add scoring. 5 point tie-breaker at 4-4.

1st round losers will be placed directly into a consolation event.

Mini Tennis Event: All matches will play an 11 point tie-breaker. When the score is at 10-10, one deciding point will be played to determine the winner. Players will alternate serve after every two points.

* Round-Robin match format may be adopted if entry list is small.

 

Serve: Can be over or under arm. Players are allowed a second serve if the first is not successful.

Late/default: A 15 minutes window for arrival to all matches will be strictly enforced. Players may notify the Pro-Shop if they are to arrive late due to unforeseen circumstances and allowances may be made.

Spectators: Under no circumstances are spectators allowed on court during play. Under no circumstances (except for emergency) should a player be coached, or in communication with a spectator during a match.

Bad behavior: There will zero tolerance for bad behavior by all players.

 

Any questions regarding sign-up should go to the Racquet Sports Manager.

Racquet Sports Manager will have the final say in any matters deemed extraordinary that applicable rules do not address.
