Yin Yoga is a wonderful practice for recovery days from a more active workout as it places a controlled stress on the fascia, connective tissues, ligaments, joints, and bones. With seven to ten seated or reclined poses that are held from 30 seconds to 10 minutes, yin yoga is a more meditative practice, which allows you to find the delicate balance between ease and effort. So, COME! Explore comfort and tightness in your body. Yin yoga classes conclude with a brief meditation and a short pranayama practice.
Instructor – Ivonne
Ivonne is a RYT 200 Yoga Alliance registered teacher, who obtained her 200-hour certification with Alan FINGER at ISHTA in NYC. She continues to train with Rod STRYKER in the ParaYoga tradition. She’s taught at TAS, TYPA, the Community Services Center, and For YogArt. She keeps many modifications in mind to accommodate her students’ needs; and she honors a principle that no student should leave her class with more injuries or pain than those they brought into class. Her students often step away from class with greater grace in their step and a smile on their face. She’s mom to three and holds a doctorate in neuroscience.
